Board Module
Why does my PC's BIOS program reading the 3326MB memory, but I have 4 pcs 1 GB PC667 DDR2 memory modules on board?

In the information section my system Windows Vista ", the memory (RAM) is also read as 3326 MB. Back to the BIOS program, it says that the physical memory is 4096 MB, while the user memory is 3326 MB. There seems to be missing 1 Gig memory, I tried to exchange the 4 memory modules, but I got the same rating. I also tried to exchange of 3 modules at once and read very well in any random position. Please help, I do not know what to do here guys. Thanks! My System Information: Intel Core2 Duo 2.4GHz, MSI P35 Neo motherboard, 4 units of Kingston PC667 DDR2 memory modules, Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Version retail, 32 bit version

Some here are full of it. 32-bit Windows Vista support 4 GB of RAM. The reason you do not see all this because you do not have a motherboard with a chipset that supports memory allocation. I have Ultimate 64bit on 2 teams, each with 4 GB XMS 667 exactly the same. The one with the 945P chipset has no memory allocation to 3299 64-bit programs with Windows Vista. The one with the 955X chipset which shows all memory maps 4096. The reservation system memory to operate the system and the hardware that most have more than the reserves. Althou only show their 3326 system continues to use 4096. If you put in Vista 64-bit would look the same. It is normal and is nothing to worry about. Theres a rumor that SP1 is supposed to change that so close together, without memory mapping shows all 4.

Coaxial Connectors
When crimping connectors onto coaxial cable, do you include the foil wrap?

The coax I have has minimal braided wire, but a foil like wrap under the braid and over the insulation. The amount of braided wire almost seems too minimal for a good connection. Should I include the foil in the crimp, or cut it off with the outer sheath?

You cut the foil away from the crimp. The few strands of wire in the crimp will connect the foil to the ground connection of the crimp. You also want to trim that foil back from the center conductor plastic carrier to avoid any possibility of shorting out the center conductor.
While you’re at it make sure you have 75 ohm coax not 50 ohm. They look exactly the same but will give you an impedance mismatch on a TV. You want RG59 cable not RG58 or RG62.

Purple Card
What type of memory card from a Nikon Coolpix S210?

I just got a Coolpix S210 purple and not know what kind to get .. soo, yeahh! HELP! :]

Any SD or SDHC card. I'd suggest 4GB SanDisk Ultra II SDHC. Plenty of space and not too expensive (about $ 15 / £ 10 on Amazon). I wonder if there is money to made of color-matched SD cards ..

Bell Bev
ROM 102? I have a BEV ROM card, how do I tell what version it is?

I have some old brand new Bell Expressview 3200 bundles from last year. I just opened one of them up and need to find out what version the ROM card is.

When I sold them last year, I found out they were the receivers were rev 013. The cards are blue (BEV), and have the ID S 04 5555 on the back.

I’ve searched and can’t conclusively find out what ROM it is.

Thanks.

Directv Signal
Can you split the signal from a DirecTV DVR?

OK, here's the deal. I'm running cables from Directv in my new home. The ancient owners of the wires used, and having a hole drilled in the floor for each room I put tv in, however, is perfectly drilled hole for size of a single cable. Is it possible to run a cable back to the plate (I have the dish with 3 LNB mode switch built in 4) and use something like this http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103928&cp = & sr = 1 & origkw = satellite + satellite splitter & kw = + splitter & parentPage = search to split a cable in my two entries in the back of my DVR?

Spliiter that you have there isn't a multiswitch, so it would not work for what you want to do. This device is basically to connect 1 receiver for DIRECTV to more than 1 TV or other device. So that what you do to work properly, you that have a direct line that goes from your multiswitch to the back of the DVR on every TV in port. If it is split between the cable and satellite multiswitch in the ports on your DVR, you will have problems with the satellite signal. If you have a vacuum port on the multiswitch on the side that says "OUT", could run your cable / satellite there own satellite in its 2nd port on the DVR. Just be sure to use RG6 or RG11 type coaxial cable. All other types do not transmit satellite signal. If you do not have a vacuum port on the multiswitch, you may just be better to call DTV and get them out and run the 2nd line DVR. If the DVR is in the same room as the installer put it in their line of DVR 2 should have been executed by you, so they are free. If you have installed same, but have not felt the engine department make your installation, call them and see what it will cost, that too could be free, depending on your situation. Multiswitches can range from $ 40-200, depending on size, and only cost you $ 49 or 99 depending on your billing statement (if you've been beaten before) for technology just come and do everything for you. If you intend to do yourself, you could put in a larger multiswitch, but would risk losing their signal to all receivers, if something goes wrong.

Shaw Signal
Can I connect my digital cable box to my LCD through AV inputs?

My basic cable connector LCD TV just stopped working nothing. He does not receive a signal and my local TV repair shop charges $ 30 to obtain an estimate of what is wrong with him. Instead of getting the tuner fixed, I have a basic digital cable terminal Shaw (one of the oldest) which has entries in red, yellow and white AV. If I connect the cable from the wall in the cable box and run AV on my TV this give me a basic cable signal? Thanks, that encourage all be appreciated.

Yes, as long as the tuner is still good (ie not his cable connector that stopped working). Make sure all the colors match on your hook-up. Use the video remote and scroll through the TV / until you see the signal.
