What is a good 5×8 satellite multiswitch for DirecTV?
I have a 3 LNB satellite from DirecTV with the 5×4 multiswitch already built in. I’d like to be able to run signals to all the rooms in the house. I think a 5×8 will work OK for my setup. Don’t want anything too expensive. I’ve seen the Spaun brand run around $350-$600. Out of my price range. Looking for maybe $100-150. What is a good brand? I’ve seen Eagle Aspen, Channel Vision, Channel Master, Terk, Zinwell…… CNet and epinions don’t really have good support for these items. Thanks in advance for the help.
Having some issues with the installation now. Besides the install guy just doing a crap job, now today I find out I only have 3 of the 4 wires running out of the dish, and the whole thing isn’t even grounded. There is one coax wire and the ground wire just dangling under the soffit. Supervisor is coming on Monday to take a look. Hope he plans on getting an earful.
I’ve never had any problems with my Terk. Always installed indoors, although capable of outside installation. I’ve owned/used a 2×4 and 5×8.
