"I can see the programming of DISH dish antenna with DirecTV?
I have DISH – went to DirecTV, but do not like programming. I would antenna was removed but the DISH receiver. "I can connect the receiver to the DISH DirecTV antenna? Update: I do not want to see the two networks. I'm fine with just DISH look – I just want to be able to reuse the antenna
Depending on the antenna you may be able to change the LNB and use the DirecTV dish refractor but most likely will have to be reoriented and this kind of defeats the purpose of your question probably.

What is the difference between VHF and UHF antenna?
Do I need to buy one to get the channels on my converter box or antenna I can use old rabbit I still have?
What he said is true. Just use shorter UHF elements. Next year, all stations TV is switched to UHF channels for digital broadcasting. Many, if not most, have and are two-channel broadcasting at this time. Your rabbit ears will working with the converter, as it has done with UHF channels now. After the great change, there will be no VHF channels. All VHF stations will be cut. Finally, in one or two years, some may return to VHF stations, broadcasting in digital format. There are fewer technical problems in VHF, UHF. But it is quite certain that no stations ever return to VHF-Lo (CH 2-6) since it is a band of old-fashioned with its own set of problems. Anyone who becomes, the more likely it will be on VHF-Hi (CH 7 – 13). Your rabbit ears will work with the converter, as it always has to VHF. Antennas do not care if it's digital or analog. They have just received the signal. It's the tuner worries about digital and analog. So do not let slick marketers try explaining that you need some new "digital" antenna. Will end selling the same thing you already have.
How much of a TV antenna How to improve the image?
I live on the 20th floor of an apartment building in downtown London, Ontario (N6B3N8) and I recently bought a new TV and I would avoid buying cable. Currently I get 8 channels (CFPL, CTV, CBC, CFMT, CHCH, a French channel and some religious channel). I am currently using only a length of 6 feet of coaxial cable and all come in about 70-90%. How much do you think cooperation South-West facing Anntenna can do to improve the quality and quantity?
Antenna will be a great improvement. A coaxial cable itself is not a good antenna. The coaxial cable is protected with an internal wire mesh, thus preventing the capture of signals. You need to connect the cable to an antenna that is designed to capture television signals, or attach a "rabbit ears" style antenna directly to your TV and place it on top. Another option is to use a diapole "antenna that is something like a T-shaped wire that is inserted into the TV and then can be mounted on the wall behind furniture to hide it.
I live in Vancouver BC, but I will spend some time at an aunts house in Tacoma, Washington. As I sit there I'd be able to see the Vancouver common in air television channels (CBC, CTV, GLOBAL …) Since Tacoma is about 200 kilometers (About 175mi) south of Vancouver was thinking of purchasing a Winegard HD8200U High Definition Platinum Series VHF / UHF TV antenna that I hope to see some channels Vancouver and improve TV reception in my aunt. MY QUESTION: Is it possible to use this antenna to pick up stations in Vancouver? if there is any way to watch TV channels Vancouver on a local pay-TV service?
> Is it possible to use this antenna to pick up stations vancouver? No. The antenna will not work at that distance.> Any way to view local TV channels Vancouver in a pay-TV service? Very unlikely. I think your only hope is to listen via Internet channels. Start by checking the websites of the stations you want to see if online sample flow. (Probably not) If you have Internet high speed, both in Vancouver and Tacoma, it would be possible to stream channels yourself. The best known way to do this is to have a "Slingbox" at the end issuer to a then view the channel to use a computer at the receiving end.
What is the name of the cable from the antenna to the av?
I have an original xbox that I want to connect to a TV. The problem is that the only port in the TV antenna or cable is in port. I know it's a thinking that the port becomes a cable A / V, so you can connect the Xbox, I just I can not think what the wire is called as I have searched radioshack and elsewhere, but they come with nothing. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

"I can replace my DirectTV satellite with an outdoor antenna and receive free air TV?
I have Direct TV and the need to switch off to save money. I have a TV antenna and get free, but not sure how everything works. I know my TV does not need converter boxes. So I was wondering if you just put an antenna on the satellite would be cable, so just plug the TV into the wall and get channels? Any other suggestions?
If you have ATSC or digital tuner built into your TV, connect the antenna to the air if you have 2 connectors on the back of the TV …. If you have a connection, connect to that. Then go into your menu, access channel configuration and choose CABLE AIR no. Then tuning that …. Once stations should have local television.

Coaxial cable issue, connecting both dish and antenna?
I connect my coaxial plate (the second TV so I have no receiver) and my antenna my TV at the same time, so it must be the change between the two, what do I need? The dish works well. I want the antenna for local digital channels. Plato does not offer local channels, but it costs money, why would I pay for them when I can get for free.
Go to Wal-Mart or Radio Shack. They sell a switch that allows you to switch from antenna to cable. The cable and the antenna goes into the bottom and a wire coming out the top screw in the coax. I have one because I wanted to do same as you. The switch is only $ 5 and you have to buy a short coaxial cable as well. It is very easy. The switch is in the same aisle that HDMI cables and other things.
