How did I get designated the “dish bitch” at Taco Bell?
I work at Taco Hell on the weekends and every time I go there they end up asking me if I will get started on the dishes. I don’t mind doing them, but the problem is the incompitent potheads I work with refuse to do any dishes themselves. So, when I get started there are about three loads to clean, including the dreaded KFC “chicken dishes,” which are generally considered to be much more difficult.
I don’t want to push my luck and complain about the fact that I am always the guy getting stuck with the job no one else likes to do, but is there any way I can prevent myself from working an entire shift at the sinks?
There is no way to avoid this since everyone else hates this job. The part-timers or “new guys” always get stuck doing it. You can sometimes turn this into a “positive” if you do only this job. No one messes with you when you are cleaning pots and pans and dishes. And you can even listen to music while you are washing since you can’t leave the sink to do any other jobs until the dishes are all done. Some of the big pots can take 10 minutes apiece to even start to get clean..
