Crimping a connector for coaxial cable?

What are the points to be addressed when crimp a connector to a co axial cable? If the wire contact with the connector? or the mesh should be isolated from the connection?

Yes, the wire must be in contact with the connector body. The wire the center should not touch the screen, or the connector. If there is a sleeve on the connector, should go between the mesh and the middle of nylon (which may or may not be aligned with the paper.) If no paper inside, generally should be left intact in the one around the insulation for the contact center. The connector can play this role, if any, but the paper should not be in direct contact with the center conductor.

What connectors do I need to extend a cable from the antenna on an exterior wall?

I put a TV in the back room and you want run the cable where the front hangs over the wall at the back. The problem is that the cable a few feet too short. I have a little more than cable, but I know what type of connectors that lay between the two – man to woman? Gold plated? waterproof? coaxial? please be very clear what you need to know what to buy exactly cheers

I found the best method, and I think I've tried loads, is to do what TV engineers told me it was the best way to splice tape joint.Bare twist both ends, turn the center of the nuclei together and then wrap regular electrical PVC tape (obviously match the wire color if confirmed), on this work from the front to the outside again twisted together and then turn these wrap around the core recorded more just then aronud tape rotation and go back over the outer braid, ribbon to wrap a couple of times about it and ready! LOW RESISTIVITY a waterproof joint and perfect images.

Is there signal loss when using a TV cable splitter?

If the splitter has 6 outlets, and only 1 is used, but others join to long runs of coaxial cable, is there any signal loss due to the impedance of the long runs of coaxial cable? I think the answer is no, because there is no complete current loop …

Yes, only the installation of the separator causes of loss. The amount of the loss will be in the divider in the PP and is determined by how many outputs and therefore only used as a buffer output until you need to avoid excessive losses. It makes no difference what is connected to the unused. clear why if you look at the picture of one but it was not easy to find one online. I did come across the link that you have information. http://www.swhowto.com/VideoLoss.htm

1996 Yamaha pw80 revs fine in first gear through full range – mid range in 2nd & 3rd it begins to lose power?

pw80 revs fine in first gear through full range – mid range in 2nd & 3rd it begins to lose power – as if not enough fuel or air getting in. If you turn throttle on & off, I can coax the engine revs up – but will die if I go on full throttle. replaced carb already. Same problem. Air filter clean, gas tank vent clear. Compression problem? Reed valve? any other ideas?

May need a top end rebuild (cylinder, piston & rings).
2 stroke engines need to be rebuilt quite often.
If it’s never been rebuilt, have it checked.

Why not hardly a foot pump pneumatic new job?

My son bought a double barrel foot pump with indicator some time ago but never got out of its package until today. Now is not gonna work. The arm, after a few movements and is rock solid / Or plug tire flies. Can someone explain what is wrong and how you can solve easily. After such time it would be very difficult even to try to return it.

Look at the back, where divers go in .. theres 2 small holes … drip about a teaspoon of oil of each hole and a little on the axes of the pump …. rubber stamps that was just hard.

Can I use as rg6/quad coaxial audio cable?

This can be a bit silly but I have seen coaxial cable connections made av RG6 with RCA compression fittings used for RGB / component and digital home theater subwoofer. My question is: Can you make your own audio interconnect cables rg6/quad using shield and RCA ends? Unwieldy to be difficult to manage?

The problem with heavy stiff wire is that sometimes the RCA connectors stay well, and the rigid cable connector can damage the piece of equipment or simply be dropped. A lighter, flexible cable that works best for the RCA cables. A heavy stiff wire is harder to bend over and sticks behind his rack of equipment.

The old coaxial cable does not. I don’t know about this component.

No. Satellites operate at a higher frequency.

By putting an F connector on the coaxial cable has braided cable cut?

I'm trying to coax F connector on the coaxial cable. I am using the following instructions: http://www.hometech.com/learn/coaxterm.html I have everything cut as directed. My question is: Can twisted wire cut flush with the outer layer of plastic or bend backward around the outer layer? "And stay foil wrapped around the 2nd white plastic interior or aluminum foil is cut flush?

Cut the twisted, but do not cut it all off. Bend / bend back. It will contact the outside of the connector and be grounded. Act as a return signal and a shield to help prevent outside interference. You can cut the entire sheet.

Internet Connection Help?

Ok. So for the past few months, I’ve been bringing our cable modem (I have cable internet) from our room where the computer is, to m room where my Xbox 360 is. Then I’ve been hooking it up and playing online games with no trouble. Just lately, the cable modem won’t pick up internet in my room. It’s a Motorola Surfboad modem. When I hook it up with the cable near my computer, it works perfectly but when I bring it all back to my room, it just stays blinking on the receive button. I’m starting to think that maybe its the cable because the one in my room is a standard white coaxial cable. But the one near my computer was installed there by the cable company and is one of those black coaxial cables that some special thing at the end (I think its called a quad shield or something). Anyway, if anyone can tell me anything that doesn’t require getting anything wireless, please do so. Thanks

make sure and check your ethernet cables, which are:- Crossover and straight through.

Crossover cable can be sometimes causing the lagging problems between the devices. You better off with straight through ethernet cable which are the best for the consoles, preferably CAT5.

Do I get full sound capabilities with RCA cables?

I have a low end Yamaha deck http://www.yamaha.com/yec/products/HTIB/HTR5830.htm that has digital optical inputs for DVD and my Sony DVD player has coax digital audio, so I’m stuck using component for video but RCA for audio.

Does this impact the features to my 5.1 setup, or does it just decrease the quality of the signal. Will I still get all these audio capabilities? If so, will I really hear the difference?

From the Yamaha site, the sound realism features.
Dolby Digital/Matrix 6.1 and DTS/Matrix 6.1 Compatibility plus Dolby Pro LogicII Decoding
Quad-Field CINEMA DSP Programs and 14 Surround Programs
Night Listening Mode and SILENT CINEMA

You probably would noy hear the difference. You did not say what kind of speakers you have. That makes the biggest difference in my experience, between good & weak sound quality. If the rest of your system was all top-shelf stuff, the optical connection might be more noticeable.
