How I can change the volume with my Comcast cable or blu ray HTiB and remote?

LHB953 I have an LG blu ray theater in a box (absolutely amazing) and I love to connect this to the remote control in Comcast's standard cable "Aux" so you change the volume – does anyone have any idea than I would use the code? Thank you.

Checking the manual – usually remote code on inside of it or get a distance learning http://www.newelectronx.com/proddetail.php?prod=home-theater-remote universal

I have a sound system, digital cable and a tv. how do I program the cable remote so that you can turn the sound and the tv on with that one remote?

Simple. Read the manual that came with the cable remote or go to the cable company’s website and learn how to enter the proper codes into the remote for the equipment you are using.

My cousin is the change to Comcast and they need a modem, that this work? She has the Windows Vista operating system.

If most of definition, and modems are a surfboard that Comcast prefers.

Question for those that live alone Have Gas prices and cost of living forced you to cut back?

Just Curious.

I live alone with 2 cats, I live in Ohio and make about 25K a year. I’ve been cutting back this last year due to cost of living and gas. I was living beyond my means.
I had 2 cars, I Sold the 94 Buick and the 04 Toyota Camry and got a new Kia Rio. New car with warranty and lower payment then the Camry. paid off credit cards most of the way when I sold my Buick. I may give up my custom license plate on my car and just get the standard one.

I dumped Cable TV and bought an amplfied rabbit ears(and an HD converter box) that was 47$ right there. It was CATV or the internet. I would just go to the library for the net but it is my main form of entertainment so I guess I’ll give in on that one.

Cut out cell phone texting(put a blocker on it) and dumped my land line.
Started shopping more at Aldi’s for some stuff. Ebayed some stuff and took some stuff to a mens consigment shop that I wasn’t wearing.

How about you?

I drive 95 miles round trip to the job 5 days a week. The car gets 38 mpg by only going 60 on the e-way. It stays parked on Sat & Sun.

Quit dating altogether > women don’t seem to want to cover their half of the charges. Rarely eat out > frozen pizzas every now & then.

Never had a land line since my divorce > cell phone only. Never text. Do have cable tv > so don’t go to movies very often & only matinees when I do >no concession spending either.

Had to quit running air > fans only. Keep most of the lights off & use a dimmer switch on most of them. A toaster oven does most of oven work & occasional reheats in the microwave.

Luckily though, gas is down to $3.69 where I live > was up to $4.25 a couple of weeks ago. Every now & then, I will spend $2 on the lotto> it’s a total waste, but you have to play to win.

How do I connect my Motorola DCT DVR?

The cable compnay no owners manual or installation guides and can not find on the Internet. The five strands of the cord gave me custom plug on TV. HELP!.

Hello … Most DCT (Digital terminal consumption) have output jacks multiple connections for different types of television (the company you never know what type of TV, consumers will have to be prepared for this kind eh?). The simplest connection is easier and more direct cooperation of DCT axial cable television. Same type of cable that carries the signal into DCT use another sheet (4 to 5 feet long at least) to connect to the TV. TV to channel 3 (for most TV) and you should have the signal. If not, you can call your local cable company and can work with you until you do! Source: Former COGECO cable technology support person

Why n how to get a better pic on my sony bravia hd tv with a non hd comcast digital cable?

I don’t have hd yet but the pic quality is crappy, just for reg sd picture with a comcast digital box, I played with the settings n still crappy quality. The tv that I had there b4 was a lot betr sd quality. Any ideas how or y

How is your tv connected to the cable box. If you are using composite cable (3 wires color coded in red and white for the audio and yellow for the video), replace it with the component cable (3 wire for the video color coded in red, blue and green) and use the coax or optical cable for the audio portion. This will provide you with digital sound, if you have a receiver ot home theater in box you can get the surround sound when provided. Hope this will help you out.

Setting up a Comcast Motorola modem but getting ‘no connectivity’ due to router IP address?

I am trying to set up my Comcast Motorola SB5120 modem. All cables are connected properly, but when I run the install CD it says I have no connectivity. When talking to a Comcast rep, he mentioned my IP address is that of a router (192.168.100.2) although there is currently no router connected to the laptop or modem. I have tried ipconfig/release and ipconfig/renew to no avail – I still have the same router IP address. Is there a way to refresh to a new IP address so that I can get connectivity with my Comcast modem? The last couple of times I have worked with the Comcast rep, they transfer me to a Microsoft customer service rep who is unable to assist me. Thanks so much.

192.168.100.2 is what’s called a non-routable IP address. This means it can’t be used for internet connectivity, since internet routers won’t route them to other routers. So yes, that’s a huge problem if you want to get out to the internet and don’t have a DSL/Cable router handling the IP addresses.

It seems that your computer isn’t picking up an IP address from Comcast. Since this should not be the case, the first thought I’d have is that you are using a static IP address rather than getting one assigned by comcast. This needs to be changed in your network settings. To check this, do the following:

Open control panel (this assumes Vista) and open the Network and Sharing Center control panel

Find the text link that says View Status (it should be to the right, less than halfway down the page)

A new window should open. Find the Properties button and click on it.

Find “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” and double-click on it.

Make sure “Obtain an IP address automatically” is checked.

This is the first thing I would check.

What is FTA channel on Comcast's new digital television?

I still do not have Comcast Digital, because I never created, but I'm getting regular channels. I need nothing more than a number for the answer to this question!

Depends on where you live! Go to Comcast's website – Enter your code and go from there. They must have a channel line up. Good luck.

Can I make my remote working with my digital cable receiver Onkyo TX-DS575X?

I have a HD-DVR and digital cable remote, and I am so sick and tired of getting up every time I change my 2 video inputs for DVD. Is their any way to program the remote receiver?

Depends on the remote cable you have. If universal remote (and if there is a "receiver" button, check your manual remote to see how to program the remote to Onkyo. If not get a universal remote. There are some cheap ( "Work is nothing more elegant") around ~ 20, or $ $ few more, about a activity based remote (Harmony). PS. All these only your Onkyo has an infrared port work and you do not have a remote for it (since you say you have to get up to change the font).
