My house, apartment has a commercial tenant (with a contract lease) who wants to install a satellite communications antenna lottery (about 4 feet by 4 feet in size) on the roof. Can I ask additional rent and consideration for this? What is a reasonable rent review?

Home automation – I want to distribute audio and video throughout my house and?
I am about to embark on a house build project and would like to distribute DAB via LCD control panels in each room, wired to DAB radio. Also, I would like a video distribution amplifier so I could distribute video again, throughout the house. Also, with the audio be able to access my mp3’s via my lcd panels also.

Can I run nVidia 8800GTX card in a PCI-Express at 8X instead of 16X? If so, how is the performance affected?
I just purchased a ECS nForce 570 SLIT-A v5.1 Socket 775 Barebone Kit / Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 OEM / 1GB DDR2 PC4200 / CPU Fan / ATX Mid-Tower Case / 500 Watt Power Supply from TigerDirect.com and included an EVGA GeForce 8800 GTX / 768MB GDDR3 / SLI / PCI Express / Dual DVI / HDTV / Video Card with FREE Dark Messiah Might & Magic PC Game.
I found later on that this Mobo has one x16 PCI Express link but it’s locked at x8.

What is an appropriate food/dish for a wedding?

It really depends what sort of reception you are having. Is it very formal? Very traditional? A lot of weddings have a reception venue with a sit-down meal, often 3 or more courses with a variety of meal choices (Soup of the day, roast chicken, apple pie with cream for a very basic example)
Other settings can get away with a more informal but always enjoyable hog roast or barbecue. Maybe a buffet style venue, or perhaps servers to go around with canapees?
You’ll need to do more research into the sorts of venues and the catering options that are available. Otherwise just re-word your question, add more detail, and ask again!

Yes…it’s usually stepped down to 240 volts (Australia). Because the transformer is centre tapped, a choice of 2 voltages is available – 240v & 480v. Unfortunately, it is a single phase supply.

Both are right:
- Most of the signal will indeed bounce off the satellite.
- However, some fraction of the signal will be absorbed by the satellite receiver. Otherwise, how could the satellite do anything with the signal?

In general, you would not have an amplifier for a cable span house – unless the term is over 1000 feet of the Cox box the sidewalk (usually a green box about a foot high and six inches square) if you have a long run that the amplifier would be in the green box hanging from your area service (where telephone and power lines come in) use a wrench 7 / 16 socket to open the box. The amplifier will be a cable Splitter supply.
