Satellite Diseqc

Satellite Diseqc
Does anyone know the basics of motorised dish installation? I have a satellite meter made by horizon.?

The dish is on the wall and the cable is run. Its a diseqc motor and my meter has several pre installed satellites in it. Can anyone tell me the best way to install it to perfection?

I’ve installed my own Motorized FTA Dish.

I’m not familiar with the Horizon brand meter , but I can give you some basic info for success.

With your motor on the 0 position point the dish toward your True south satellite if you are in the Northern Hemisphere.

Make sure that where your dish is mounted that the pole or mast is plumb ( level ) ,it’s very important for perfect tracking.

You will of course need the correct angle for your motor which will vary depending on your location.

Digital Dvb

What’s with these new digital pocket TVs? Why do they run on a band called DVB-T or T-DMB instead of ATSC?

Why not just run them on ATSC like bigger digital TVs do, the same way analog pocket TVs ran on NTSC in the USA just like bigger analog TVs did?

And how do we get these new digital pocket TVs, anyway? Which sites sell them in $US?

Portable digital TVs in North America use ATSC, just like larger TVs.

DVB-T & DMB-T are digital broadcast standards used in other parts of the world. The systems are not compatible. See map at link below:

what type of video equipment should i connect with satellite receiver to get about 7 output channels.?

i connected a FTA satellite system and at a position i have more than 10 good channels; i want to program my TV to pick each station on different tv channel ,like a hotel room where you can view channel of your choice not what is showing in another persons room nor the reception.

First you will need a receiver for each channel you want to watch, so if you want 10 channels to select from, then you need 10 receivers. Next you will need a 10 channel RF modulator to send the signals out on 10 different tv chanels. This will cost big $$$.

You can use one receiver and one modulator and split the signal to 10 tv’s but each tv will watch the same program. You could then us a wireless remote to control channel changing from the different rooms.

What should I buy for work to satellite radio in my Scion xB? Sat his list, but you need a receiver?

The main unit factory (Pioneer) expressed Sat ready, but I know that the needs and the antenna and receiver. Where can I buy the receiver? Ebay?

I have Direct TV in a room with two televisions. The remote will not work in direct satellite receiver with remote control.?

Also two televisions do not work with your remote control. The coach said there is some kind of interference in that room. What causes this?

I noticed in the past that a cordless phone can cause it. Also, cell phones. If that fails, maybe the UHF sensor is damage. See, if you can get one for Direc TV

Will the satellite receiver DIRECTV HD DVR with an external antenna record HD?

Directv I can provide local channels through antenna dish, so I need an external HD antenna. I can not find a picture closely to see the back of the receiver to get all the high hook. TIA

YES, THE record HDDVR OF AIR ANTENNA off, you must ANTENNA BUT THE PROGRAM TO COME THROUGH YOUR RECEIVER. For assistance, call DTV, and is very simple, you help. Hope that helps!
