What type of television service should get? DirecTV, Dish Network or Time Warner Cable?
They were entering a house for the year 08-09 school and are in need of service television. What are the pros and cons of each and the success of any or no horror stories about these services.
I worked for dish and the service is excellent. Now I have Time Warner Digital Cable. It is more expensive but not bad. I have TiVo as well. Paying for the service TiVo in the annual plan so you do not have to do it monthly. With Time Warner I can get my home phone all calls for a fee, I get Road Runner Internet. The three for $ 138 a month. You can get a cell phone in the plan also, but I will not do it now. I say go with cable and TiVo and you can watch your TV on your computer. You can put your digital photos on your TV from your computer. This is only the tip of the iceberg. I had the Dish DVR, remember that there was no pay for that and I like Time Warner with TiVo better. Good luck. I hope you enjoy what you get.
I know that with big-band satellite dishes-C is an engine that you can buy that can adjust the position of satellites to intercept other satellites. I use a 1000 DirectTV dish to receive FTA channels from multiple satillite. Is this possible? Also, trying to figure out the best receiver for this.

Satellite TV Question: LNB, motor plate and Splitter?
I have a plate of 80 cm, and two decoders. I want to run both a satellite dish only one motorized LNB. Is this possible with a splitter or would have to obtain a dual LNB? Thanks for the answers
You will need a dual LNB or switch to select the receiver is attached to the LNB. Part of the melody in the form of different channels receivers is to send signals to the LNB with different voltages and control tone. If, for example, the receiver needs to select the LNB HL "group" of channels that send 13v, no tone, to the LNB. If the other receiver was sending no sign of 19v, the LNB is selected VL "group" and would not be able to receive the channel you want.

fta receivers need the plate, the "antenna" for channels .. decodes the picture only so that the flow of signal your TV can use the signal. They are expensive because no one is subsidizing unlike DIRECTV or Dish Network pay-TV services. no software to update in the boxes. single point of satellite dishes in a unencryted flow, and you will see channels.
