How to make dif color configurations in windows while using a splitter to view the same computer on 2 monitors

Just bought a 2 way vga splitter to hook up a monitor and a projector, i need to be able to sperate the signals and create different color configurations. please reply

It won’t happen with just a splitter, as it carries the exact same signal from the wire you are splitting, to the other 2 wires.

You need a switchbox, a graphics card (like Nvidia) that has multi-monitor support, or run 2 separate lines, and dump the splitter altogether. If you have just one VGA out, this may not be an option. Most newer cards have 2 DVI outs, so it may be time to upgrade.

Does an LG W2361V Monitor Output HDMI Audio to the On-Board Headphone Jack?

I was looking at an LG W2361V monitor today at the store and noticed it has HDMI Input and an on-board Headphone jack. What I was wondering is if the monitor decodes the audio from the HDMI Input and outputs it to the Headphone jack all in one unit? My intent is to plug an X-box or PS3 into it via HDMI and I’m wondering if I’ll get audio as well as the video.

It sucks but that is strictly an HDMI output. Dont ask why. I guess nobody wants to make the software to make it work as an input. You will need seperate device to take the HDMI feed out output as something else to your laptop.

How to hook up new cable to splitter?

I have cable and they put it on a 2-way splitter. My cable guy left me extra wire (only wire, no connectors) so I could run it through the wall to my upstairs bedroom. I bought a 4-way splitter and the connectors (ends) to the cable wire. However, when I hooked it into the new splitter I’m not getting cable on the tv upstairs…only 2 channels. Why is that?

Your hookup should be like this. Out of the wall, into the 2-way splitter “INPUT”. Out of the splitter “OUTPUT” with one line going to the TV downstairs & the other line going upstairs.
Make sure your cable is stripped back enough to put your connectors on & that the center conductor is not shorting to the silver foil or braid on the outside.
Try & use the 2-way instead of the 4-way splitter because you’re only losing signal by going 4-way especially if the 2 unused OUTPUTS are not capped.
Good Luck

How can I switch off the ticking in digital clocks, electronics in a 4×4cm box powered by one AA battery?

If it has a piezo-electric buzzer it could make a ticking noise. What you would need to do is remove the buzzer, measure the resistence, then replace it with a resistor that matches the measured resistance.

In an ‘open’ hipped roof, with no cross beams, how are the rafters attached to the wall plate?

is it framed with wood all around? there has to be some kind of nailing into the plate of the wall if it is wood. there can be a structural ridge and hip so you wouldn’t need any form of ceiling beams

What is the best way to route two analog / digital video sources to a monitor?

I'm considering Svideo, DVI, HDMI, and the component video sources. I PIP (Picture in Picture) and / or ability to change the font. I'm thinking about a new monitor with dual inputs or video capture (not need the ability to DVR, my receiver because he already does). I have a graphics card, but I'm not sure if the GeForce 6600 DVI port accepts the incoming signal. I was also thinking dividers switches, but I do not know how best to apply these ideas in a cost-effective. What do you suggest / recommend, and what is the best solution for the purchase of hardware?

Landen Hello, you need a converter box or switch the VGA box depending on which 2 of the 4 types of connections you will use. The best way (cheaper) is to make is to use a tuner PIP ans then run his contributions to that. Or you could go to range HDTV.Monitor high and get a tuner with a board and use of inputs on board. The key here without spending much money is to have a device that can do PIP with separate entrances. I just get the HD TV with built in PIP and lots of tickets to save a headache. Here are a few that have Cheapies PIP but not all the inputs you might need: http://www.svideo.com/walkietv.html http: / / sewelldirect.com / Manhattan-tv-tuner.asp http://www.geeks.com/details. asp? invtid = TV-LCD01 Now that you know what you do not, check out this site: http://www.avtoolbox.co.uk/vtb108.shtml GOOD LUCK!

I bought a 2-way splitter for my cable.?

Does the cable company know that I was using one? I'm getting cable in one room and not the other. I do not mind the cable box in another room. I just want to connect the cable to the back of the TV. Can I do this without getting caught?

They know nothing …. You are not trapped unless the cable type came to do a repair and most of those guys do not mind ..
