Flat Cable
how to connect a hardrive CPUs flat cable to a USB port.?

OK what im trying to do is get my self a powered USB hard drive. I have 30 cables hard and flat as 5 USB male.what i want to do is cut the ribbon cable in the middle of the cables are exposed, and connect the four wires (black, white, green, red) in the USB cable to the ribbon cable. its possible so if U think you can not even do respond.thanks;)

It is possible the way he is doing. What they do not realize the drive enclosures have MUCH OF Inside Electronics. They can be packed to a single circuit board with some chips, but that's a lot of electronics. THAT HAVE NOT or understand. The electronics is in the USB protocol, self-discovery by computer as a storage device, and all that, and that makes regular signals SDI, and the reverse route (SDI signals back into USB). In addition, the hard disk drive cable is parallel to floor (which is why they have 40 lines), and USB, as its name implies, is SERIES. So you need a timer, and a protocol converter bi-directional. And clearly, the way in which you ask, that they have no idea of what these are, let alone how. buy a USB box and put your internal hard drive.

Lnb Dtv
I have a oval DTV ant 2ea legency LNBs & a C lnb . How do I connect these at ant to get HD? only going to 1 T

You need a muliswitch. It takes the signals from all three LNBs and sends one cable out to your receiver. Call DirecTV or find one online. The three-LNB antenna combines two of them at the antenna, sending two wires to the LNB. I believe you can get multiswitches that take those two as iinputs and provides outputs for two receivers. You do not have to use both outputs if you have only one receiver. Make sure your multiswitch is for DirecTV.

Satellite Multiswitch
Cable / Satellite Directv Question of entry keeps breaking?

Here goes. Sorry if a bit long. Back in February, I received an HD DVR from DIRECTV. There are two satellite inputs that come directly from the switch-over on the roof. This allows you to watch one program while recording another. When the technician came to install, there was already a line to enter the room because he had a TV in the room already. All I had to do was put in a second line of the multiswitch. To this end, he realized that he had co-ax go to another room where there was a TV. Using a cable connector is found through the outer wall of the house in the room where I needed the second signal. Anyway, as part of its installation, was everything I was working. Both he and a I forgot to verify that the two satellite inputs were working. I did not realize until it was, that the table only receive the signal. I realized that the only line that was not working had a short right of the F connector in which he entered the box. The line was replaced

Vinchenzo_d_gymbag Hello, I'm not sure how to help you. If you replaced the faulty line What is your question? Norm

Standard Receiver
Do I need a HD receiver to receive HD from Direct TV?

I am currently with Direct TV and has a standard DVR receiver, I would like to get the HD channels since I just got a new HD TV. Do I need to get the HD receiver to get the HD channels or can I just upgrade the package service to HD instead of getting a receiver. Thanks for your help.

You will need a different receiver. As well as a different dish. A bigger one. And you will need a tech to come out and install it. It must be fine tuned.
