how to install second DIRECTV receiver?

I would add a second receiver Directv myself. I have a slim box has two wires current dish.the RG6 ranging from HD DVR to the outside of what I believe is a multi switch that connects to the antenna. "I can run two new RG6 cables from the switch to the new box? Thanks

if there is a DVR (the new receiver) only needs to run a co-ax. Look outside, where he separated from the capsule. If you only have two wires coming out cutter to simply run one more from the additional port on the splitter. Then you need to call DirecTV to have them in format (on) the new box. What is the feasibility of making two video cards running a video card with dual monitor output?

A friend asked me to put price out a system update for it. One of the features he wants is the ability to dual monitor, but on a budget (of course). As far as I know, he is not looking for high-end games or anything like that, but often spoke of entering graphics and video editing. Would not it be effective to have two separate video card or try to get a new one was to do the dual monitor?

Most newish (last 3 / 4 years) cards have dual outputs, one VGA and DVI the other normal. You could go with two new cards, and the use of double outlet of one of the monitors, and the other in SLI / Crossfire if that works for you. Hope that helps ~

Why a USB external drive will only work when connected to a usb certain prot on my pc?

I have a usb external hard drive. I have opened many USB 2.0. This unit will only work from certain ports. Any reason for this?

may depend on where the USB ports are sometimes.ie Sometimes the back behave unlike any in the front (as run from a USB head) for power supply in the front are low. Another possibility is defective USB ports …. No other items have the same problem? if so defective ports. Another issue is that power USB devices msot drain any power from the USB and has a cap so that each pair of ports usually given only if 500MA device and drains all the other issue to have problems. without knowing the motherboard I can not give any additional information.

Is it difficult to point a satellite dish yourself?

I have Dish Network and the installer said stupid right antenna a tree and told me it was the ideal spot. So when the leaves on the tree, the TV reception sucks. That said, I do not think they are trained well at all. Besides that, people were incomplete and I do not want them back in my home. There is no better place on the other side of the house decently clear to the south. Do you have some good advice?

How I can connect my DVD player, dual tuner DVR cable box and an A / V receiver to my HDTV?

I have a DVR Comcast dual tuner, HDTV Vizio, Panasonic DVD / VCR and Kenwood A / V receiver How I can hook them all together? Right now are all individually connected to the TV so it is impossible to establish the video on the screen and I can not get the A / V receiver to work only with the TV.

It depends on your input and output is in each component. If the DVR is not HD then connect the yellow cable TV and the red and white for the receiver. If it is HD then use an HDMI cable or component cables. The DVD will be the same. If you have optical audio output on your TV, then use it. Connect all components TV then use an optical cable from TV to receiver. Now the TV's audio will play in the receiver, no matter what you're seeing.

My cable-modem disconnects a lot.?

ok, so my cable modem is disconnected a lot lately, can occur every 30 minutes, or after a few hours, but here is the solution. first off, my cable line goes from about 20 feet across the room, around corners, a 2-way splitter, then line 1 to line television to cable modem box. Now the TV works perfect, without loss of signal reception clear, even when the modem is disconnected, the TV works fine. Here is how to fix the disconnection. I go to the outlet, disconnect the power cord, wait 10 seconds, the screw again. bingo, cable modem to connect. is a sign of this problem from the ISP? the output of the cable has problems? cable line has problems? What could be. One of their CATV Cable, black, silver-connectors. the divisor is a frequency divider 7 -7. and I checked the signal itself of the modems IP scanner and said that his perfect signal. The box is a ARRIS modem. I called my ISP, you can go out and check … in two weeks … I do not want to wait that long, so if any1 know has id appreciate.

Well, let me help with my personal experience with cable television and the Internet is through a cable. First, if you have a router attachment that you have not mentioned, set the router of a client lease time to 10000. Secondly, my cable TV in my house has an amplifier signal in the system that appears to increase television signals watchable. However, the modem must be plugged into service by the signal booster. Now, in my house, the master connector board is in my attic, and this forum is where you select the outlets to receive the pulse signal. How do I get an RCA video signal from a DVD player to 4 different TV’s via Coax?

By the way this is a bar. There are 4 TVs with coax running to them. From there the coax all meets in the back room. I think I can use a splitter from Walmart to go to the 4 TVs but the input to that splitter is still Coax. So how do I get the RCA output from the DVD player to the Coax Splitter? Thanks for any input.

You can’t the coax signal is modulated and the RCA is not they are different type signals…if the TV’s have RCA jacks you could just run a separate splitter and run of RCA connectors…

hi, can someone share ideas if the pioneer vsx-5000 can be hook up with cable tv. thanks?

thanks, i did connect the tv cable to the the receiver catv input. but i hear or see anything. what selection do i need to select?

Just connect the “audio out” plugs (should be a red and a white) from your cable box to the receiver. Whatever audio input you use on the receiver (cd, tv, ect..) is what you’ll switch it to when you want to hear the tv sound. I don’t really see a need to run the video through your receiver, so just keep that hooked up straight to your TV from your cable box.

Does a cable company really have to go underneath a mobile home to install cable?

I just bought a 07 double wide mobile home. I am about to get Comcast cable, and am wondering if they have to go underneath the trailer to install the cable? My home is pre-wired for cable. Also, I have a two coax cable wall plates. If I connect my TV to that wall plate, should I be able to get my local channels or do I have to have Comcast come out? Last Question, we have wall paneling, is that sturdy enough to mount a flat screen television?

they should not have to go under if they can get access to where your cable goes into the trailer. you no longer can get antaglog channels it is all digital now so you wont get anything but static. no the panelling will not hold up at flat screen but if you can secure it to the studs (more then one )like say put the bracket so it secures to 2 or more studs and in approx 4 locations it should be ok
