Can people create their own lightning rod?

I mount my satellite dish on my roof. How I can prevent a ray of damage any of it? I'm always worried a little when the storm arrives. I can only disconnect the cables of the receivers, but I can not do anything with the LNB. I do not want to call a professional, I just want to create my own simple lightning rod. Would be placed near my plate.

Is it alum, or plastic] resin [one does not use lighting, is attracted by an increase in energy from the ground up, or a tree, I place it near the antenna in any way, put it on top as far away from the source as possible, a copper rod of 4 feet taller than the roof and the dish will work, run a copper wire # 6-8 foot ground rod, driven into the ground,

Where I can buy satellite LNB holders? that is not online!?

I'm not sure what it is calling an operator "satellite LNB. At least Directv system, all containing the LNB arm is typically replaced as a unit. If for any reason you are wanting buy this or any other part of a dish antenna and you are not willing to buy online, then your only alternative is to look under TV providers satellite within its community, I would suggest using the yellow pages or a search of his glasses. Once you find someone who installs these systems, either which has or can get parts for them.

Why do I have to get a new cable if I want HDTV from DirecTV?

I called DirecTV to get on my high definition television HDTV and said it would send a guy to do it (I could not do it my self, so they say …) and would need a new dish, a new receiver, and all new cables in order to get HDTV content on your TV. The total of all this stupidity is over $ 300, I think he said $ 399 or something. I think this is total BS! I already have dual LNB antenna, and a DVR, why do I have to spend $ 400 for HDTV? Should I go with Dish Network? going to install all these things free HDTV, but I would have to pay extra for an HDTV DVR. But why do I have to get all this again?

If you go any dish is free, all you have to do is to pay a small monthly rental for the team.

Are MtA and FtA Procedures Possible?

People are born male and female. Wither a person self identifies with their gender or not determines if a person is “normal” or a transsexual.

But what about androgynes? Is androgyny a form of “gender”? Do people self identify as being both masculine and feminine… is it possible for a person who is biologically really masculine or really feminine looking to have feminine or masculine tendencies?

Yes, so if a person wants to self identify and be treated in society as this “dual gender” do you think that they should be able to undergo a procedure (surgery or hormones?) in order to unite their inner with their outer identities?

Androgyny can be a form of gender, yes. However, like being cisgendered (regular gender identity) or transsexual, androgynous people are like that because that’s how they are and not because it’s some trendy thing to do. Androgyny, like transsexuality, does fall under the transgender umbrella. It is about how the person feels psychologically and not necessarily physically. People who are physically androgynous naturally are usually intersexed.

Androgynous people see themselves as a blend of male and female gender. They will express that by some of the clothes they wear, activities, etc. However, many are happy with their bodies and still live their life as their birth sex, although a little more colorfully than most. Some will have surgeries (think Marylin Manson) or take hormones to help their presentation though. It’s all a matter of what they prefer.

What LNBF do I have? (BSCH84P60) What should I change? (SW-31)?

… I'm trying to get 110 to 119 of the working side on my satellite dish. My original LNB was a Dish Network 500 quad with internal switch. It went bad and I bought an LNB used. The one I bought has 2 twins. … I've seen is the Legacy? (BSCH84P60) … is the SW-21 switch with Compatib I have? (Not a LNB Dish Pro) have a picture of the LNB with the model number if that helps. You can obtain a sw-21x switch for about $ 10 compared with $ 50 to $ 180 for other multi switches. Sorry in my question I said that SW-31. SW-21 wanted. A SW-21x does the switch? I know that a sw-21x switch is in cascade with a SW-21 switch, I'm not sure what kind of LNB I have. 1 LNB is actually a BSCH84P60 and the other is a BS1H1UP201M LNB. Only account. Here is the http://myweb.cableone.net/teenir LNBFs

You have two Legacy LNB. They may have one or two outputs. If you have an outlet in any LNB, then you can have only one receiver connected. If you have two exits from each LNB two receivers can be connected. A SW21 is required for each receiver. If you have more two recipients of this installation will not work.

Replacing/upgrading lnb on satellite dish?

I have an older Dish network dish mounted and working on my home. It does not, as far as I can tell, have any labels, etc. saying it DishPro (or better) so I assume it is a pre-DishPro model. It does have a twin lnb (with two cables connected) for running two receivers. I would like to upgrage to DishPro Plus to use a dual-tuner receiver. My question is whether I can use the same dish I have and only replace the twin lnb with a DishPro (or DishPro Plus) lnb? If so, I believe I would also need a “Y” yoke adapter to connect the new DisPro Plus lnb to the post … is that correct? Or, won’t this work, and then I will need to get a new dish as well?

You will have to replace the dish as well, however you can use the old mount, provided it’s in good shape.

LNB / LNBF what is it?

An LNB or LNBF is an essential component used in common systems of satellite transmission, such as DBS (Direct Broadcast Satellite System) and TVRO (Television Receive Only). The "F" refers to an LNBF Low Noise Block (below) with a converter of integrated feedhorn (or "LNB feedhorn") of the Assembly are commonly found in DBS antennas. Microwave (C and Ku band) communications signals, as TV and radio are transmitted from ground-based uplink stations to geostationary communications satellites (or in some cases, the earth's orbit low). Each satellite transmits microwave signals over a wide geographical area with ground-based satellite antenna (aka, satellite dishes) like those commonly seen in homes and businesses. These low-power RF signals are picked up by satellite dishes (aka, dishes), where it is channeled through of the LNB feedhorn located at the focus of the dish. The LNB amplifies and converts the microwave band of lower RF signals (ie, intermediate) frequency (or if) the signals that are carried by coaxial cable to the satellite receiver.
