There is no way to with a usb I know of. But if you have a friend that the update can not use the memory card and install that.

fta receivers need the plate, the "antenna" for channels .. decodes the picture only so that the flow of signal your TV can use the signal. They are expensive because no one is subsidizing unlike DIRECTV or Dish Network pay-TV services. no software to update in the boxes. single point of satellite dishes in a unencryted flow, and you will see channels.

You could try downloading the free as a HyperCam and camstudio. However, they may begin to freeze once you start recording. But that's just me, and I did not I have a VGA cable. Your computer may be able to handle it without freezing.

I have a Toshiba Satellite A200, which is a 2Ghz Intel Core Duo with 1GB of RAM with Vista Home Premium. Whenever I turn off the computer, I'll wait for it to load (and sometimes I will be in a hurry and as soon as I see the icons, I do), but when I think it has, I to open multiple programs at once. For example, I click on my email client, followed by the messenger, as well as Internet Explorer or Firefox. This means three programs that load at a time .. I do almost anything, and all the time. Now that my computer is running very slow, I wonder if my multi-tasking processor is causing the slowness? Thanks

My friend has a cable that I need but I can’t search for it on the internet if I don’t know the name. The cable has an audio jack like on headphones on one end and the red, white and yellow holes, that are found on the back of a TV to plug a DVD player into, on the other end.
I want the cable so I can plug the headphone jack on one end of the cable into my computer screen and my xbox 360 AV cables into the other end of the cable and play xbox using the computer screen as a TV. So the AV cable CAN plug into that end. It is NOT an AV cable on one end.
I’ll bet it actually has a 3.5mm, aka 1/8 inch, miniphone PLUG (not a jack) on one end. And if you look close you’ll see that it has four contacts rather than three as are on headphone cords.
At the other end you have what are called “RCA plugs”. Also known as “Cinch plugs” in other countries.
This is commonly used on older camcorders to get video and left and right audio out.

This doesn’t make any sense. “Red, white, and yellow” RCA connectors on one end *is* an AV cable, period, end of disucssion. Furthermore I have never heard of a computer monitor that will accept video from a headphone-style jack. Audio, yes (if the monitor has built in speakers) but not video.
Some computer displays will accept baseband video (RCA yellow jack) but most won’t. Those that will, just have an RCA jack and all you need is an RCA to RCA cable.
You can get a VGA output cable for the Xbox and your computer monitor undoubtedly accepts VGA input. This wil be FAR better quality than composite video. Why not just do that?

Sure. You can use PCI TV tuners to connect your video outfrom a DVR to a computer. You use a recording software that comes with PCI vido capture your computer's hard drive. The computer should be reasonably fast to do this. You must also choose an interface PCI tuner (coax, RCA, etc) that is free with your TVR. Do not buy cheap. It works well.
