Dual Output
What is the feasibility of making two video cards running a video card with dual monitor output?

A friend asked me to put price out a system update for it. One of the features he wants is the ability to dual monitor, but on a budget (of course). As far as I know, he is not looking for high-end games or anything like that, but often spoke of entering graphics and video editing. Would not it be effective to have two separate video card or try to get a new one was to do the dual monitor?

Most newish (last 3 / 4 years) cards have dual outputs, one VGA and DVI the other normal. You could go with two new cards, and the use of double outlet of one of the monitors, and the other in SLI / Crossfire if that works for you. Hope that helps ~

Color LCD 3G iPod?

I have an old 3G iPod that still works fine, but I wanted to know if I could replace the B / W LCD with a color LCD. Will it work? If so screen is still black and white anyway? Any other cool mods for the 3G iPod?

I will not color display by the firmware and the screen.

How do I match color that I see on-screen and color of printed output? I have LCD monitor & HP 1000 inkjet.?

My monitor is Viewsonic 19″ LCD and printer is HP Business Inkjet 1000. Each time that I print color graphics, the colors in the printed output look different from those that are shown on the screen

Without buying a different printer, it’s all related to ICC color profiling. Every printer will have a color profile that translates what’s being displayed on the screen to the colors that printer needs to output. The software that came with the printer should have the color profile on it.

In display properties, click the settings tab, then advanced near the bottom. When the new window opens, there will be a color management tab. That will allow you to add color profiles. Now that you know where that is, contact HP to find out where the color profile is on their provided software, then browse for it using the instructions above. They might even walk you through it.
