You have to check if the seller is "Power Seller" or not. I found that it is not power seller. If the seller sells the majority of products with good reaction from the buyer then he is a power seller. The seller or have given is just a new man. So purchase your own risk. If the seller is "Power Seller" or you can buy without a doubt.

Is the Motorola SB5101 Surfboard cable modem compatible with Vista and Comcast?

My cousin is the change to Comcast and they need a modem, that this work? She has the Windows Vista operating system.

If most of definition, and modems are a surfboard that Comcast prefers.

How do I connect my Motorola DCT DVR?

The cable compnay no owners manual or installation guides and can not find on the Internet. The five strands of the cord gave me custom plug on TV. HELP!.

Hello … Most DCT (Digital terminal consumption) have output jacks multiple connections for different types of television (the company you never know what type of TV, consumers will have to be prepared for this kind eh?). The simplest connection is easier and more direct cooperation of DCT axial cable television. Same type of cable that carries the signal into DCT use another sheet (4 to 5 feet long at least) to connect to the TV. TV to channel 3 (for most TV) and you should have the signal. If not, you can call your local cable company and can work with you until you do! Source: Former COGECO cable technology support person

Motorola DVR/HDTV box

I have a black cable box and a new motorla dvr/hdtv cable box from comcast. How do I hook this up? Do I hook up the colored wires to my TV and transfer the two cable from the black box to the new motorola box? I’m not getting any signal…

You put the colored wires from cable box to TV.

Then you plug them both to a power source (lol)

Put the card into the card slot (if they give you one)

Call or go to your local Comcast office to get them to activate the box.

And you’re done!

Setting up a Comcast Motorola modem but getting ‘no connectivity’ due to router IP address?

I am trying to set up my Comcast Motorola SB5120 modem. All cables are connected properly, but when I run the install CD it says I have no connectivity. When talking to a Comcast rep, he mentioned my IP address is that of a router (192.168.100.2) although there is currently no router connected to the laptop or modem. I have tried ipconfig/release and ipconfig/renew to no avail – I still have the same router IP address. Is there a way to refresh to a new IP address so that I can get connectivity with my Comcast modem? The last couple of times I have worked with the Comcast rep, they transfer me to a Microsoft customer service rep who is unable to assist me. Thanks so much.

192.168.100.2 is what’s called a non-routable IP address. This means it can’t be used for internet connectivity, since internet routers won’t route them to other routers. So yes, that’s a huge problem if you want to get out to the internet and don’t have a DSL/Cable router handling the IP addresses.

It seems that your computer isn’t picking up an IP address from Comcast. Since this should not be the case, the first thought I’d have is that you are using a static IP address rather than getting one assigned by comcast. This needs to be changed in your network settings. To check this, do the following:

Open control panel (this assumes Vista) and open the Network and Sharing Center control panel

Find the text link that says View Status (it should be to the right, less than halfway down the page)

A new window should open. Find the Properties button and click on it.

Find “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” and double-click on it.

Make sure “Obtain an IP address automatically” is checked.

This is the first thing I would check.

How do I delete saved searches on Comcast TV Box?

I have a Comcast Motorola box. How do I delete saved searches? I can find no option to remove them.

I do not think you can. Try unplugging the box and wait a few minutes and then plugging it back again. If you really need to remove call Comcast and they can do for you.

Element brand LCD TV Digital Cable?

I have a Motorola DVR / digital cable box today from my cable provider (Comcast) When I tried synchronize my TV remote control that comes with the cable box (for the remote can control both the TV and the box) I could not find listed as a brand element TV. The item is brand Circuit City TV. Does anyone know if other trademarks mentioned may be consistent with the? Thank you.

Element and Polariod seem to have exactly the same models, just different brandings. Try to find a similar model in the Polaroid website and use the code so that instead. If that fails, there is usually a procedure programmable remote control to find the correct code for your TV – just check the manual.
