How to protect coax from the interference?

Completely wired all coaxial cables. I'm using quad shield RG11. My coaxial concern that pass close and crosses with electrical cords. Is there anything I can do to reduce interference? Maybe run coaxial plastic or metal tubes …. Can you think of something?

The coaxial cable shielding prevents interference, if it is properly grounded. You get the interference when shielding has been damaged or has a good ground. The shielding must eventually be grounded.

How much of a TV antenna How to improve the image?

I live on the 20th floor of an apartment building in downtown London, Ontario (N6B3N8) and I recently bought a new TV and I would avoid buying cable. Currently I get 8 channels (CFPL, CTV, CBC, CFMT, CHCH, a French channel and some religious channel). I am currently using only a length of 6 feet of coaxial cable and all come in about 70-90%. How much do you think cooperation South-West facing Anntenna can do to improve the quality and quantity?

Antenna will be a great improvement. A coaxial cable itself is not a good antenna. The coaxial cable is protected with an internal wire mesh, thus preventing the capture of signals. You need to connect the cable to an antenna that is designed to capture television signals, or attach a "rabbit ears" style antenna directly to your TV and place it on top. Another option is to use a diapole "antenna that is something like a T-shaped wire that is inserted into the TV and then can be mounted on the wall behind furniture to hide it.

1996 Yamaha pw80 revs fine in first gear through full range – mid range in 2nd & 3rd it begins to lose power?

pw80 revs fine in first gear through full range – mid range in 2nd & 3rd it begins to lose power – as if not enough fuel or air getting in. If you turn throttle on & off, I can coax the engine revs up – but will die if I go on full throttle. replaced carb already. Same problem. Air filter clean, gas tank vent clear. Compression problem? Reed valve? any other ideas?

May need a top end rebuild (cylinder, piston & rings).
2 stroke engines need to be rebuilt quite often.
If it’s never been rebuilt, have it checked.

Can I use as rg6/quad coaxial audio cable?

This can be a bit silly but I have seen coaxial cable connections made av RG6 with RCA compression fittings used for RGB / component and digital home theater subwoofer. My question is: Can you make your own audio interconnect cables rg6/quad using shield and RCA ends? Unwieldy to be difficult to manage?

The problem with heavy stiff wire is that sometimes the RCA connectors stay well, and the rigid cable connector can damage the piece of equipment or simply be dropped. A lighter, flexible cable that works best for the RCA cables. A heavy stiff wire is harder to bend over and sticks behind his rack of equipment.

Internet Connection Help?

Ok. So for the past few months, I’ve been bringing our cable modem (I have cable internet) from our room where the computer is, to m room where my Xbox 360 is. Then I’ve been hooking it up and playing online games with no trouble. Just lately, the cable modem won’t pick up internet in my room. It’s a Motorola Surfboad modem. When I hook it up with the cable near my computer, it works perfectly but when I bring it all back to my room, it just stays blinking on the receive button. I’m starting to think that maybe its the cable because the one in my room is a standard white coaxial cable. But the one near my computer was installed there by the cable company and is one of those black coaxial cables that some special thing at the end (I think its called a quad shield or something). Anyway, if anyone can tell me anything that doesn’t require getting anything wireless, please do so. Thanks

make sure and check your ethernet cables, which are:- Crossover and straight through.

Crossover cable can be sometimes causing the lagging problems between the devices. You better off with straight through ethernet cable which are the best for the consoles, preferably CAT5.

Do I get full sound capabilities with RCA cables?

I have a low end Yamaha deck http://www.yamaha.com/yec/products/HTIB/HTR5830.htm that has digital optical inputs for DVD and my Sony DVD player has coax digital audio, so I’m stuck using component for video but RCA for audio.

Does this impact the features to my 5.1 setup, or does it just decrease the quality of the signal. Will I still get all these audio capabilities? If so, will I really hear the difference?

From the Yamaha site, the sound realism features.
Dolby Digital/Matrix 6.1 and DTS/Matrix 6.1 Compatibility plus Dolby Pro LogicII Decoding
Quad-Field CINEMA DSP Programs and 14 Surround Programs
Night Listening Mode and SILENT CINEMA

You probably would noy hear the difference. You did not say what kind of speakers you have. That makes the biggest difference in my experience, between good & weak sound quality. If the rest of your system was all top-shelf stuff, the optical connection might be more noticeable.

RG6 Coaxial cable compression Q?

I have a lot of compression connectors (type F), compression tool cutting and redo all my house. I just bought some RG6 cables in bulk on eBay, but I was nervous and tried a tester in a chain that had at home. It did not work, but it was RG6 cable. It RG59. Im wondering if this is normal, or am I doing something wrong, I followed all the instructions I saw online and in the packages they purchased. Im pretty sure the problem is the coaxial cable size I have. Can someone just reaffirmed this with me. Please and thank you.

You are correct, RG59 is slightly lower compared with RG6 cable diameter. This really does not affect hex crimps, crimp as you just tighten them. When it comes to settings of compression, the diameter of the cable is very import. I am willing to be this is the problem. Below is great place for some compression connectors for RG59.
