Can I connect an old Panasonic VCR to my computor?
I have a standard video recorder Panasonic NV-RX1B has a wire, but does not connect to my computer .. Does it connect to anything? I put in my mac and edit with iMovie
You need a device for audio / video of the capture. It will plug into USB, and have composite video and stereo audio inputs.

Can I record freeview channels off a digital television onto my video recorder?
I have just bought a toshiba digital television with freeview and I would like to record with my video recorder freeview digital channels. It is not a digital video recorder and it only has one scart socket and the aeril sockets for connection. If anyone can tell me how I can connect via scart or other means to tape the tv’s inbuilt digital channels then that would be great.
if your tv is built in freeview, connect your video through scart lead to tv.
select AV1 on your video and press record. you can only record what your are watching.
