CW 800s: Watch channels from 3 diff SATs without constantly switching diseqc (lnb) & freq in antenae settings?
Hi. I have a Captive Works 800s and a dish with 3 LNBs (each pointed at a different bird). I scoured the net and figured out which FTA channels come in on which bird, at which freq and using which tranponder. I then manually added all the transponders to one of the SATs pre-programmed in the CW800s. Then, I went to antennae settings, set the diseqc and freq settings corresponding to bird #1 and did a auto scan. Saved settings. Went back to antennae settings, changed the diseqc and freq settings so that they correspond to bird #2 and did a auto scan. Saved settings. Repeated this step once more for bird #3.
Now, all channels I want to watch work. But every time I go to a FTA channel that’s served by a diff bird, I have to go back to antennae settings and change the freq and diseqc settings to those that correspond to that bird. Pain in the neck.
Please help me. Thank you.
Get three more screens and two more Captive Works receivers. Connect two receivers to two TVs and do not flip the bird.

Why is it so difficult to get a DVR without cable or satellite company participate?
Directv-I just changed and they suck for Commiecast equal. I have had both their HDDVR and want to know why they should be involved, if they still had Moxi cable that could hand $ 800, but I think I no! I have a NON-HD DVR Hughes 40 hr-HNS SD-DVR-40. Directv guy tried to make it work (I have 5 new LNB Slimline dish with 2 cables and lines work well), but no dice. There must be some way I can connect this DVR age and record without the BS-Tivo and Directv Why have to be involved? (I have a feeling that has to do with the second antenna wire) I have sought a decent site hack, but I'm not a speakerhead-nor can I find anything that directly applies to me. I think this DVR I have is 2-a number that seems to be more hackable. Do not care about HD-only want to record at low cost! Thanks
Unfortunately satellite systems such as cable digital, use a proprietary encryption program. This is mainly to prevent people from doing what we are trying to do – the use of generic or outdated hardware which is controlled by the provider to directly record the signal. I guess it's part of the problem – the DVR is too old to understand the signal coming out of your plate. The other part of the problem is that this is a direct recipient. The relationship with DirecTV and Tivo ended some time ago (and very bad.) Customers who still had a receiver Steering old, but once changed or reduced their service, the receiver was discharged – meaning neither DirecTV Tivo, and recognized or supported. Pity, too. I would been happy just to keep DirecTV DVR with TiVo. Neither the one in use now DIRECTV, nor of course can compare to the functionality, simplicity and reliability of even my old first generation Tivo unit. However, unless we can get this DVR work with your system (and unfortunately, I doubt you), still can go and buy an entirely separate DVR, which is essentially just a video player with a hard disk pushed inside. You will need a standard satellite receiver, and then connect the DVR to that. The DVR only be able to record whatever channel the receiver is set at that time. Most receivers have a timer feature, that allow you to change the channel, which used in conjunction with the programming function of the DVR allows you to mimic the functionality of your old video of you record a sound specific channel at a specific time. Unlike a normal DVR subscriber, you will not be able to set a recording based on the series title (eg CSI). You have to know when they are in their programs, and program of DVR and receiver accordingly.

What is a good 5×8 satellite multiswitch for DirecTV?
I have a 3 LNB satellite from DirecTV with the 5×4 multiswitch already built in. I’d like to be able to run signals to all the rooms in the house. I think a 5×8 will work OK for my setup. Don’t want anything too expensive. I’ve seen the Spaun brand run around $350-$600. Out of my price range. Looking for maybe $100-150. What is a good brand? I’ve seen Eagle Aspen, Channel Vision, Channel Master, Terk, Zinwell…… CNet and epinions don’t really have good support for these items. Thanks in advance for the help.
Having some issues with the installation now. Besides the install guy just doing a crap job, now today I find out I only have 3 of the 4 wires running out of the dish, and the whole thing isn’t even grounded. There is one coax wire and the ground wire just dangling under the soffit. Supervisor is coming on Monday to take a look. Hope he plans on getting an earful.
I’ve never had any problems with my Terk. Always installed indoors, although capable of outside installation. I’ve owned/used a 2×4 and 5×8.

Dishnetwork help~!! Please~!!?
I have Dual Tuner DVR and recently someone stole my dish for some reason. I got a dish from someone, but I’m having to install it myself. Everything is the same, but I need to install the dish. I did everything and adjusted everything according to the manual. All I need to do is to know how to connect the cable wire. I have Dishnetwork 500 with DishPlus LNB. There are two connections for 119 and one connection for 110. What do I need to do? I connected to the 110, but all it says “switch or connector has problem”. What do I need to do? Help~!!
a dp plus head has 2 ports for 110 and 119 and 1 single port for an additional satalite like 61.5 which is a 2nd dish called a must carry. if you have a little switch behind your reciever called a seperator you only need 1 line from the dish if not you need too run 2 lines, dont use the single side that is an in port. you can run 2 dual tuners off your head if you use separators

FTA satellite confuse change can you help?
What is the difference between this circuit Is it necessary to explain everything or please .. What is a multiswitch? a diplexer? SW-21? and a DiSEqC switch. if I have everything ready DiSEqC SW-21 is necessary to help and please explain
SW21 are used for Dishnetwork systems, not a FTA.

How to replace turn signal switch in ’98 Toyota Corolla?
I already removed bottom side of steering wheel cover and I don’t know what next. Do I need to take off steering wheel? If yes, how to do it? Thanks for any advise.
“Do not attempt this on your own” take it to a shop. this is a pain to do even for an experienced tech.and if you do want to attempt the steering wheel has to come of to replace the turn signal switch be careful not to loose any bolts and remember where every thing went and buy some lock tight when you bolt everything back together so wheel does not come off.

i have a zinwell satellite box model # ZDX-7000FTA. i have freqncy,symbl rate etc.how can i enter a tv channel?
this channel diappeared a month ago because of change of frqncy,simbl rate etc. and i want to enter new numbers. thanks
The free to air channels are still where they’ve always been and shouldn’t need any reprogramming. If you were using your receiver to steal subscription programming, I believe that the security hole has been fixed.

Wireless Switch won’t work on Toshiba Satellite Pro L40 series laptop, can anybody help ?
My friends laptop has not been reformatted for around 2 years and was running really slow so i offered to do it for him. I have and everything works fine except the wireless switch will not work. The LED light does not light up. I have tried to install drivers but im not really knowledgeable when it comes to Drivers. Does anybody have a solution for me ?

Try another similar model drivers first, then look for the Function Button “Fn” + another that probably has an antenna icon to turn it on if off.
