i recently purchased a Samsung 32″ lcd hdtv (LN32A330) and hooked the cable tv up to it. what i did, was i had the original cable, then i had to use a coaxial splitter to still make the cable channels go to other tvs in the house. everything is hooked up fine on the samsung, (or so it seems) and the other tv’s cable channels work in the house, but all i get on the samsung is a snowy picture, like the cable isnt even plugged in. i have digital cable, and i read the manual and went to the ‘plug and play’ feature where it scans for channels, but it never finds any. does anybody have any suggestions to what i can do?
Use the Samsung’s on screen menu and switch the input to Cable. It’s probably on Antenna.
I bought my first flat screen TV! What now? Only one RF input …?
I have only one RF input and I have basic cable. Do I have to choose between cable and my DTV antenna? possibly an updated antenna w / a HDMI output, I have 4 HDMI inputs on the TV. Moreover, these are the components I connect what is the best setup as far as cables from one side to another. NEW! 42 "Vizio 240Hz LCD Audoi old … Sony Receiver (w / HDMI for VIDEO 2 and one for DVD and one for monitor output, and also a DVD optical connectors IN COAXIAL + normal) man … Sony DVD Player with HDMI port right now I have the DVD player connected to the TV via an HDMI cable and television connected to receiver via A / V cables, but there seems to lag on the lips on the TV and speakers …. THANKS!
You can order a set-top box from your cable company (preferably with HD support). You can switch between cable and antenna with a RF switch, but it is necessary to return to explore each time, so a lot of pain. Most HD Set-top boxes also have antenna input as well.
Can you give information regarding Single wire earth return power supply system?
A single wire comes from the electrical supplier. The “return” conductor is the earth.
1. SWER distribution is used mainly in rural areas.
2. It’s usually 33kV (19kV) & higher (Australia).
The secondary winding of the “end” transformer is usually centre tapped so that a single phase, 3 wire system is available.
EDIT.
For Paul F.
Yes…it’s usually stepped down to 240 volts (Australia). Because the transformer is centre tapped, a choice of 2 voltages is available – 240v & 480v. Unfortunately, it is a single phase supply.
Alright. My little sister got a Coby 19 inch Flat screen tv for christmas. The problem is when we cant connect Coaxial to it. So is there anything out there that does the opposite of a RF Modulator?Where can i buy it? That would be really helpful. and ive tried the old vcr thing. it doesnt work. unless i have the wiring wrong.
so essentially i need something that has this on it.
COAX-IN
COAX-OUT(optional)
RCA-OUT
RCA-IN(again optinal)
it can have more but i need the coax in and rca out.
i looked at the box and it says its a tv. but the problem is i can connect say an antenna in…but if i connect the coaxial cable in. it doesnt work,
The tv does have an antenna in but when i connect the coaxial in it. Nothing shows up and on the dish screen i have it on the right channel and everything but i still cant see it..
With no RF input, your sister got a Monitor NOT a TV.
You need a tuner or a set-top box or a converter.
The VCR should work.

Are all men really want is a porn star or stripper? I was having a conversation last night with a group?
My friends the night before, and he said: "All you guys want to do is a porn star or stripper because that's what you see every day," They said, " all agree that girls do not expect to really look like porn stars, but they expect women to (have sex) porn stars as "Well, do not take off all the clothes and start to do with 2 of my friends in the midst of putting our nails, or fall and make the divisions when the repair man comes to fix my cable. Who can compete with that? What pressure.
Here's my question: I have a 47 "Toshiba flat screen 1080p Lap issued Friday. Right now, I have a TV normal, a digital cable box and DVD player connected to everyone. I'm not getting the HD service for a couple of months, but wants to prove what I can on the new TV before then. Do I have to buy new cables to connect the new TV without using the HD? Should I buy all new cables coaxial for all my other connections (VCR, etc)? I know I will need HDMI, once you select the HD, but I need to know what I get now. Any help is appreciated. Thanks for your help. That last guy with the analogy of the speed boat was in a bad mood, eh? Thanks for being so nice man and patient.
Your new TV probably has a QAM tuner. QAM will screen digital cable TV, including HDTV without a cable box. You should receive at least in local broadcast television stations, including HDTV. Hook-wire directly to the coaxial input on your TV and scan the channels. As for new cables are concerned, The cable company probably hook the HD box with component cables. In general, there is little difference between component cables and HDMI cables. His team the other is SD and can be connected with composite cables or S, and S is preferred. Assuming your DVD player is not a conversion rate up, is also SD. If conversion is upward, then it can not properly issue unless you use HDMI not pay more than $ 20 for an HDMI cable. See link.
