Vhf Dvr

Are recording with my recorder is still possible now that I have a Motorola DCT3416 DVR and a HD signal from Comcast?

The cable type coaxial cables connected in this order: 1) The cable in the house is connected to the RF cable. RF OUT 2) The cable is connected to VHF / UHF IN on the VCR. 3) VHF / UHF OUT of the VCR is connected to cable television. And he connected HDMI OUT from the cable box HDMI IN on TV. Watch TV when I select the HDMI input works well. Recording with the DVR works well. However, I am not able to watch TV or record TV with my VCR when I select the cable input (again, the cable entry is where the coaxial cable is in the end.). Should be able to watch TV and record TV with my VCR using coaxial cable signal and the aforementioned configuration Connection?

DCT3416, Sure you can record with your VCR. Are you sure you are connected the way you describe? RF output of the box Cable VHF / UHF in the video? That should work. Can you play a VHS tape? If you can not play a tape that are not connected correctly. When they sign not expect the digital quality. Will be outmoded as VHS. Norm
